LTA, Public Works Inspect Progress on New Headquarters
A joint technical team from the Liberia Telecommunications Authority (LTA), the Ministry of Public Works, and contractor BMC conducted an inspection of the nearly completed LTA headquarters to assess construction progress and compliance with regulatory standards. The delegation reviewed structural integrity, safety protocols, and the installation of key electrical, mechanical, and ICT systems. Engineers placed particular emphasis on the facility’s digital infrastructure—including its network backbone, power redundancy systems, security installations, and environmental controls—all essential to supporting Liberia’s expanding telecommunications sector.
According to the LTA, the new headquarters will serve as a central regulatory hub, strengthening the Authority’s capacity for spectrum management, policy formulation, consumer protection, and service quality oversight. The facility is also expected to enhance inter-agency coordination and support broader national digital governance initiatives.
Representatives of the Ministry of Public Works commended the quality of work executed to date, while contractor BMC reaffirmed its commitment to delivering the remaining phases in accordance with approved specifications and timelines. Upon completion, the modern facility will play a pivotal role in advancing Liberia’s digital transformation objectives and ensuring a more robust, efficient, and inclusive telecommunications environment.
