Patrick Honnah is a seasoned Liberian public servant, media professional, and communications strategist currently serving as Commissioner for Consumer Affairs, Universal Access, and Public Affairs at the Liberia Telecommunications Authority (LTA). In this role, he provides strategic oversight of consumer protection, public communications, and initiatives to expand equitable access to telecommunications services across Liberia.
Commissioner Honnah holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Management, a Master of Arts (MA) in International Relations, and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) in Public Sector Management. His academic background complements a diverse career that bridges public service, corporate communications, and media leadership.
Before his appointment at the LTA, he served as Deputy Director General of the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS), where he contributed to the management and transformation of Liberia’s national broadcaster. He also held the position of Communications Manager at Firestone Liberia, where he led corporate communications for one of the country’s largest industrial and agribusiness operations.
A prominent voice in Liberia’s media landscape, Honnah is widely recognized as a broadcaster and media entrepreneur. He hosted the popular “Truth Breakfast Show” on Truth FM 96.1 and is the founder of Punch FM 106.7, a private radio station contributing to the growth and diversification of Liberia’s media sector.
At the LTA, Commissioner Honnah has been instrumental in advancing regulatory initiatives focused on consumer protection and digital inclusion. His work includes supporting anti-fraud measures to combat telecommunications scams, enabling operators to block fraudulent numbers, and promoting regional engagement to expand access to global digital platforms. He is a strong advocate for creating opportunities that allow Liberian content creators to participate in and benefit from the global digital economy.
